This is Matt Faulkner and this is where I’m going to be putting a lot of rambling stuff up for all the web to see.

I chose the site Mr. Faulkner as my name is pretty common, or at least the domains were already taken by other people.  Not to mention there is a childrens writer that already has some popular books that took ‘my’ domanin name.  (His too, but you know what I mean ).  I’m not that writer FYI.

A little about myself – I’m a proud father of a little girl that you might see on this site a few times – mostly when she is doing fun stuff or stuff that at least I think is really funny…  I am also a proud husband to my wife Karissa.  She is the other love of my life (dehind my daughter, and she accepts that).  We work well together and she puts up with me being a Geek most of the time.

What I do?  I am a GIS Manager for a large Environmental Engineering firm and work in Indianapolis.  I would say the name, but I’m not sure if I can do that or not… I am also a Tablet PC MVP for my work on GottaBeMobile.com and other places in the community.  Tablet PC’s and GIS have been a passion of mine for quite a while.

I would also call myself a developer, but I’m not a developer.  I like to hack my way around some code – that’s more like it.  I have recently started on a quest to learn some new knowledge – Ruby.  I’ve recently picked up an interest in doing some Ruby on Rails applications, so now it’s time to learn.
